DescriptionJungle Book Childrens Book Art Background Paintings Group of 4 (Disney, c. 2000s).
The Jungle Book was the 19th Disney animated feature film. The film was released in 1967 directed by Wolfgang Reitherman, it would be the last film produced by Walt Disney himself. Jungle Book would go on to be a major franchise for Disney with four feature films, two television spinoffs, a direct to video project, six video games and countless childrens books. This lot has four amazing hand-painted backgrounds from one of the childrens books. The artwork was rendered using gouache on heavy illustration paper affixed to Crescent illustration board. The artwork measures 12.75 x 11.75" with an image area of 12.75 x 10", 13" x 9.75" with an image area of 12.5" x 8.25", 11.75" x 9.75" with an image area of 11" x 8" and 12.25" x 10.75" with an image area of 11" x 8.75". This a fantastic opportunity to acquire four pieces of original Disney production art. This lot is perfect for Disney fans! These backgrounds would pair nicely with a cel or framed as mini masterpieces from the Walt Disney Studios. This is actual working production art and thus will show normal usage, tape and tape residue, small pin holes away from the image, minor handling, and edge wear; overall condition is Very Good.
