    Description

Josie and the Pussycats Illustration by Bob Singer Original Art (Hanna-Barbera, 2004). The "You've Come a Long Way, Baby" all-girl band strike a delightful pose in this original illustration by Bob Singer. Mr. Singer worked for a number of animation studios during his long career, spending 27 years with Hanna-Barbera, where he was an animator, layout artist, background painter, and storyboard director. He also served as a character designer, and is best remembered for his work on various Scooby-Doo shows. This classic image of Josie, Valerie, and Melody, plus Sebastian the cat, owned by the girls' spotlight-stealing nemesis Alexandra Cabot is in ink, watercolor and color pencils on paper, with an approximate image size of 8.5" x 7.5". It's hand-signed in graphite below the image. Art is floated in a mat with an opening of 16" x 12.75", and framed with glass for an overall size of 22.5" x 19.25". A certificate from AFA Gallery in New York City is included. Fine condition.
