    Description

Josie and the Pussycats Color Model Cel (Hanna-Barbera, 1970). "Josie and the Pussycats... Long tails and ears for hats. Guitars and sharps and flats. Neat, sweet, a groovy song. You're invited, come along!" These are the first lines to the original Josie and the Pussycats opening theme song. This series, based on the Archie Comics characters developed by Dan DeCarlo, premiered on 9/12/70 on CBS, featuring band-mates Josie, Valarie, and Melody. This is a great 12 field hand-painted Color Model cel of the band. This image would be used in the opening musical sequence as a held cel. You can see it around the 0:21 mark into the song in a box of four images. Great images of the girls in full Pussycat mode, with sizes of 5" to 7". Cel is on a print background for presentation purposes. The classic pose! Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
