It Was a Short Summer, Charlie Brown Snoopy Production Cel Setup with Key Master Background (Bill Melendez, 1969). As both the boys and girls are lining up to board the bus to go to Summer Camp, Davy Crockett hat-wearing Snoopy sees the Bus Driver's seat and hat. He promptly walks by everyone, switches hats, and imagines himself as the bus driver on a ride. You can see this at about 5:56 into the film. This is an extremely rare hand-inked, hand-painted production cel setup on a Key Master hand-painted production background. Please note: This Key Master cel and background setup were used to illustrate the children's book that came out with the same title, featured on page 18. Hand-inked 1960s Key Master Peanuts setups are considered extremely rare. The cel has a Charles Schulz signature on the cel, but it is not known if this is authentic. Overall setup size is 14" x 11". Tape on border and on cel for book illustration registration purposes; background is custom-cut to create the bus and seat. Smiling Snoopy is 3". Very important piece! Fine condition.
