It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown Lucy and Linus Production Cel Setup (Bill Melendez, 1966). This classic TV special premiered on CBS 10/27/66 and continues to air every year around Halloween. It was nominated for an Emmy Award that year. This hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Lucy and Linus is from the opening scene where they walk together to go to pick out a pumpkin. Vince Guaraldi's piano music "Snoopy Song" plays the entire walk. Linus kicks up a bunch of autumn leaves at the 21 second mark. This is a 12 field, 3-cel setup. Lucy is on one cel, Linus is on a second, and the leaves he kicks up on a third. They are wonderful full figure images and of course Linus has his blanket. Both characters measure approximately 3" tall. The cels are on a print background for presentation purposes. Inked production cels from early Charlie Brown shows are considered the holy grail of Peanuts animation collecting. Condition is Very Good.
