Description

Peter Pan and the Pirates Captain Hook and Tinker Bell Matched Storybook Illustrations by Bob Moore Original Art Pair (Walt Disney, 1952). Mean old pirate Captain Hook tempts pixie Tinker Bell with a gold crown if she will point out Peter Pan's hidden home on a map of Never Land, in this pair of exquisite storybook illustrations from this Disney children's book with art by Bob Moore (1920 - 2001). The boards are marked as 13, with an image of Hook, a map with a dagger, and Tink trying on a small golden crown, while the second illustration is marked 14 and shows a close-up of the map as little Tink walks toward Cannibal Cove (smooth move, as Peter's hidden home is really at Hangman's Tree - where the dagger is!); the back of this board is noted as "Tinker Bell #1". The art is in gouache and watercolor on 9.5" x 12" sheets of illustration board; approximate image sizes are 8" x 7.25" for 13, and 8.75" x 9" for 14. These attractive pieces of art are in Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear.
