Oh Bother! Pooh's Book About Trying New Things "If I Were You and You Were Me" and "Oh Bother! (or Eeyore Sleeps Over)" Published Original Pair of Signed Page Illustration by John Kurtz (Walt Disney, 2001). The famed illustrator John Kurtz takes us to the Hundred Acre Wood with the two sets of illustrations offered in this lot, presenting endearing images of Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore from the storybook Oh Bother! Pooh's Book About Trying New Things. Renowned for his storybook illustrations featuring characters from Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Sesame Street, Kurtz showcases in these illustrations his exceptional skills in rendering these famous Disney characters. From the story "If I Were You and You Were Mine," we have the illustrations that appear on pages 84 and 85 of the book, showing Tigger asking Pooh to go out bouncing, and then trying with Piglet, measuring 7.25" x 5" and 6.5" x 5" on an 18.5" x 12" board. Pooh Bear and Eeyore take the spotlight in the next illustrations, published on pages 150 and 151 of the book, during the story "Oh Bother! (or Eeyore Sleeps Over)" showing Pooh helping his friend with his house and a great image of the pessimistic donkey, presenting great image sizes of 7.25" x 4.75" and 6.5" x 4.75" on the 8.5" x 10.5" board. The illustrations are all done in gouache and show Kurtz's signature on the bottom right area of the boards. Kurtz's famous hidden signatures can also be seen on the four illustrations! Included with the lot are printed copies of pages for reference. Toned tape residue can be seen near the top area of the boards, not affecting the art. Presenting overall mild handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
