Mickey's Parrot Mickey Mouse and Pluto Publicity Drawing by Manuel Gonzales Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1938). Created in conjunction with the release of the 1938 theatrical short Mickey's Parrot, presented is a remarkable trio of 12 field 5-peghole graphite and color pencil publicity drawings created by Disney Legend Manuel Gonzales (1913 - 1993). Manuel Gonzales is a "Mousecar" Award-winning artist whose prolific career includes artwork for theatrical posters, lobby cards, press materials, comic strips, and books for the Walt Disney company. He is especially known for his work on the Sunday Mickey Mouse comic strip. Mickey and Pluto are featured here in various scenes inspired by the short. The drawings range in size from roughly 6" x 8" to 10" x 8". Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear, and faint age-related toning, and two of the drawings bear the initials of the artist.
