Description
Mickey Mouse and Pluto Pup Little Golden Book Interior Page Illustrations by Campbell Grant Original Art Group of 5 plus #D76 Published Book (Walt Disney/Simon & Schuster, 1953). When Mickey can't find Pluto anywhere, he enlists the help of Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and his nephews Huey (spelled "Hughie" here), Dewey, and Louie, Clarabelle Cow, Goofy, Horace Horsecollar as each one jumps in Mickey's old car to search for the missing pup. Here are several pages of original art from the 1953 children's storybook by animator/illustrator Campbell Grant (1909 - 1992). The art is for pages 8 and 9 (a two-page spread with the pages taped from the back); pages 12 and 13 (another two-page spread, pages are not taped together), and page 19. The colorful art is painted with gouache on Bristol board measuring approximately 6.5" x 8.5". A later printing copy of the published book is included. The art for page 19 is missing the text black, which left behind a rubber cement stain. Overall art condition is Good to Very Good with some handling and edge wear with tack holes.More information about Grant, Campbell Artist.
