Marc Davis Chambri Lakes Published Original Watercolor Painting (Walt Disney, c. 1970s). Created for his study of Oceanic culture and design titled The Bite of the Crocodile, this is a stunning original watercolor painting by Disney Legend and Imagineer Marc Davis (1913 - 2000). Depicting a destination in Papua New Guinea, this lovely painting showcases the artist's love for the culture after his visits to the country in the 1970s. Similar images can be seen on pages 732 and 733 of the book Marc Davis in His Own Words: Imagineering the Disney Theme Parks - Volume 2. Marc Davis hand-selected this piece to be part of his Marc Davis Fine Art program, in which 36 fine art giclées were created from this rare original work for galleries and museums. Hung in the Marc and Alice Davis residence for many years, this painting is framed under Plexiglas with a mat window size of 11" x 12" and an overall frame size of 24" x 25". All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. Well preserved in the frame, the piece shows minimal handling, and the condition is Very Good.From Disney Legend Inductees - The Marc and Alice Davis Archive.
