Visual effect artist and matte painter Harrison Ellenshaw captures the contrasting beauty of an industrial landscape at the sea in the astounding original illustration offered in this lot. Ellenshaw is known for his stunning matte paintings and striking visual effects work seen on movies like Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back and for supervising the visual effects of Tron. Terrifically rendered in acrylic on 24" x 18" stretched canvas, this original painting shows the intricate skyline of the oil refineries populating the sky with smoke, done with purple tones, while the water and the clouds are done with green tones, illuminated by a full moon.
