Description

Don Rosa - Uncle Scrooge's Money Bin Painting Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1980s-90s). Here's a Don Rosa painted illustration of Uncle Scrooge's fabulous Money Bin that has a lot going on! First, there's Scrooge in his beloved habit of diving in his pile of coins, bills, and jewels like a dolphin would dive through the waves. Meanwhile, Donald Duck is raking through the bin, pulling out currency with a pitchfork while his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie build a play fort with stacks of coins, with an open copy of their Junior Woodchucks Guidebook in front of them. But wait, there's more... a rat in the lower right corner is chewing on a few greenbacks while in the small window we see one of the dastardly Beagle Boys about to get his head bonked by Scrooge's boobytrap! We also love the sand pail and little shovel by the rat and of course the Depth guide, showing the pile a little under 98 feet - wow! Don Rosa has been a lifelong fan of Carl Barks comics featuring Scrooge, and although their art styles are different, Rosa's storytelling is a close second to the Good Duck Artist/Duck Man himself! The art is in ink and watercolor/color markers on Bristol board measuring approximately 14" x 11", matted and framed with glass for an overall size of 23" x 20.25". The wooden frame has a few very minor dings. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The art is in Fine condition with some very light edge wear.
