Honey Harvester Donald Duck Vintage Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1949). In Honey Harvester, Donald Duck is working in his greenhouse when he notices a bee harvesting honey. The bee turns out to be Spike the Bee who can be heard buzzing "Whistle While You Work" from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs while harvesting for honey. Donald tries various approaches to find the hive, which despite Spike's best efforts to throw him off, he eventually discovers the honey in the radiator of an old car. He drains the honey and starts to leave when Spike spots him and mounts an attack. The bee adds a cactus needle to extend his stinger. Donald relents and returns the honey all but one jar, until the bee spots him. This original production drawing can be seen around the 6:10 mark. Donald measures 5.5" tall, drawn in graphite with red and green penciling on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper, and numbered 32 in the lower right corner. It's a beautifully detailed full-body Donald drawing from Honey Harvester which is one of Spike the Bee's early appearances. This vintage piece of animation art shows only minor handling. Condition is Very Good.
