    Description

His Hare Raising Tale Painted Production Background (Warner Brothers, 1951). An original, hand-painted, detailed production background from the 1951 Friz Freleng short featuring Bugs Bunny and his nephew Clyde, looking over a scrapbook. The cartoon includes clips from Baseball Bugs (1946), Stage Door Cartoon (1944), Rabbit Punch (1948), Falling Hare (1943), and Haredevil Hare (1948). This scene is from the end of the cartoon, where Bugs says, "If everything I told you isn't true, I hope I'm run over by a streetcar." You know what happens next! This background was painted by Paul Julian (1914-1995), and measures approximately 12.5" x 10". The top margin is marked Sc 29 1124. Fine condition.
