Hanna-Barbera Character Design Drawing Group (Hanna-Barbera, 1950s-70s). Here's a fantastic collection of eight character concept/design drawings, reaching back to the earliest days of the studio up to their mid-seventies heyday. Included are Colonel Putt-Putt (from the classic Yogi Bear "The Runaway Bear" episode from the Huckleberry Hound Show, 1959); Atom Ant (1965); Squiddly Diddly (1965); two images of the Winsome Witch, (1965, one image marked "Wolf and Three Pigs"); a wonderful full-figure Great Gazoo (The Flintstones, 1965); Oliver Hardy (Laurel and Hardy, 1966); and a great image of Magilla Gorilla in a space suit, with an evil-looking robot. All are graphite on 12-field animation paper; several include secondary characters. Ed Benedict and Dick Bickenbach may have been involved with some of these expressive designs. Overall Fine condition.
