    Hank Porter - WWII USAF 476th Fighter Group "Donald Duck" Insignia Design (Walt Disney, c. 1940s). The 476th Fighter Group is an ARC (Air Reserve Component) of the USAF and was first activated in China on 5/19/43 and assigned to the Fourteenth Air Force. Donald Duck was the Disney war hero of World War II. He was used more than any other Disney characters on WWII insignia art. This outstanding image is created in graphite with blue, yellow, and brown highlights. Drawn by Hank Porter on vellum paper and trimmed to 10". Donald Duck in this great boxing pose is 6" across on the 11.5" long design. Slight wear and wrinkles, otherwise in Fine condition.
