DescriptionHank Porter Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Comic Strip Preliminary Art (Walt Disney/King Features Syndicate, 1938). Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ran as a Sunday newspaper comic strip for twenty weeks during December 12, 1937 through April 24, 1938. This is preliminary rough art from the hand of Hank Porter, done for the middle tier of the 2/20/38 strip. The first panel is a classic scene including all seven Dwarfs, where they discover Snow White waking up from a nap. The other three panels feature beautiful art of Doc, Happy, and Grumpy; Snow White; and Grumpy alone. Graphite on board with an image area of 27" x 5.5", matted to an overall size of 35.5" x 14". Fine condition.
