Hank Porter - Practical Pig World War II Insignia Drawing Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1940s). Although the "Three Little Pigs" were one of the early studio superstars, not a lot of military groups seems to have embraced having a pig used for their insignia. This is a Hank Porter (1900 - 1951) detailed prototype original drawing for a maintenance-type unit utilizing the Practical Pig. When researching the use of the Practical Pig, the few we can find all had a maintenance/repair unit type feel. The word "Practical" most likely being thought to be one that could repair or fix anything. This graphite and blue pencil prototype of the Practical Pig is on trimmed light paper of 8" x 10". Amazingly detailed drawing, with a nice 5" pose. Minor handling and edge wear. Good condition.Auction Info
