Hair-Raising Hare Bugs Bunny Animation Drawing Group (Warner Brothers, 1946). Pair of trimmed animation drawings from this classic Chuck Jones directed cartoon, featuring full-figure images of Bugs Bunny (one of Bugs facing stage left, the other of him saying, "And so, having disposed of the monster..."). This is the cartoon that introduced sneaker-wearing monster Gossamer. Yow! The cartoon was released on 5/25/46, and was written by Tedd Pierce; it was the last cartoon to use Chuck Jones' design of Bugs Bunny. After this short, they went to Robert McKimson's design. The drawings are trimmed to 6" x 3" pieces of paper, both drawn in graphite with red pencil highlights, with Bugs approximately 5.5" in each. This is some of the only artwork known to exist from this historic short! Fine condition. From the estate of Warner Brothers Ink and Paint employee Francis "Cookie" Zeid.
