    Description

Gulliver's Travels Early Concept Art (Fleischer, 1939). Lemuel Gulliver washes onto a beach after a storm at sea and ultimate shipwreck. Following the calm of the storm, the town crier stumbles across Gulliver in terror and rushes back to town to warn the King of a "giant on the beach". Here's an early piece of concept art for Gulliver's Travels, the 1939 animated feature film directed by Max Fleischer and directed by Dave Fleischer for Fleischer Studios. This beautifully detailed concept piece was rendered in graphite on tan colored 11.75" x 9" drawing paper. Concept art is a form of illustration used to convey an idea for use in films and animation, before it is put into the final product. This is a superb illustration. Condition is Very Good.
