George of the Jungle Closing Sequence 39" x 10.5" Pan Production Background (Jay Ward, 1967). "George, George, George of the Jungle, strong as he can be!" Yeah, but he's always a sucker for "that tree!" Our favorite jungle klutz swings past some impressive and very colorful backgrounds in this show, and here's a big one that can be seen at about the 0:09 timestamp in the George of the Jungle closing credits! It's a pan production background, painted in gouache on an artboard measuring approximately 39" x 10.5". Backgrounds for this beloved animated series from Jay Ward Productions were painted by Sam Clayberger, Jack Heiter, Bob McIntosh, Walt Peregoy, Gloria Wood, and Bob Inman.
