Fun and Fancy Free "Mickey and the Beanstalk" Donald Duck Storyboard Original Art Signed by Homer Brightman (Walt Disney, 1947). Presented is a delightful original storyboard drawing featuring Donald Duck created for the "Mickey and the Beanstalk" segment of the 1947 Disney package film Fun and Fancy Free. This is a rare early storyboard depicting Donald Duck (as opposed to Mickey Mouse) seen on the champagne cork at the 1:08:47 mark of the film. Rendered in conte, graphite and watercolor, this drawing is signed by screenwriter and storyboard artist Homer Brightman (1901-1988). Brightman was a prolific storyman having worked on many cartoons with many studios including Disney, Walter Lantz, MGM, UPA, Larry Harmon, Cambria and Depatie-Freleng. This wonderful image is on 8.25" x 7" animation paper, and the paper shows minor handling wear with some wrinkling and pinholes in the corners indicating use in the storyboarding process. There is a horizontal fold near the bottom, and the condition overall is Good.
