Fraggle Rock Original Storyboards Group of 4 (Jim Henson Productions, 1987). "Dance your cares away -- down at Fraggle Rock!" Jim Henson's beloved and sometimes surreal TV series is still fondly remembered by those who grew up in the 1980's. Henson described the Fraggle Rock series as "a high-energy, raucous musical romp. It's a lot of silliness. It's wonderful." The HBO series featured fantasy creatures as an allegory to deal with serious issues such as prejudice, spirituality, personal identity, the environment, social conflict and proved accessible to audiences of all ages. In this lot are original storyboard drawings for one title sequence, one full episode, and two partial episodes. The main title sequence consists of 19 pages, the full episode titled "The Great Radish Round-Up" has 64 pages, "A Fraggle for All Seasons" has 52 pages, and "The Great Fraggle Freeze" has 33. All are rendered in graphite, blue pencil, and ink on 14" x 8.5" paper with some Xeroxed elements pasted in. The effort that went into these beautifully detailed drawings is truly impressive and likely some of the finest storyboard art we've ever seen. The full collection shows handling, edge wear and use; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
