Foxy by Proxy/Hare We Go Pan Production Background with Bugs Bunny Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1952/51). Here is an original hand-painted pan production background from the 1952 Friz Freleng-directed short Foxy by Proxy. This short was a remake of the 1940 Merrie Melodies cartoon Of Fox and Hounds. This is a great background of Bugs Bunny's rabbit hole, surrounded by carrot stubs. It can be seen in the short around the 1:33 mark. The background was created by Irv Wyner (1904 - 2002), who has signed in the lower left corner. He was in the Friz Freleng unit from 1952 to 1957. A fantastic hand-inked hand-painted production cel of Bugs Bunny from the 1951 Robert McKimson-directed short Hare We Go. The production cel and production background work well together. Rare hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of a full figure Bugs Bunny of 6". The vintage production cel alone is considered very rare. Framed with a mat opening of 22" x 10", in an overall frame size of 33" x 18". Very rare vintage Looney Tunes cel and background setup! Very Good condition.
