Description

Fantasia "The Sorcerer's Progression" Limited Edition Cel #1/350 (Walt Disney, 1994). One of the most breathtaking hand-inked, hand-painted Limited Edition cels released by Walt Disney Art Classics in the 1990's was titled "The Sorcerer's Progression". It was created using Disney archived original artwork from the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" section of Fantasia. This is from Sequence 7 Scene 14. Mickey goes from drawing to unpainted cel to fully painted cel in this rare sequence. The cel was hand-painted at the Disney Ink and a Paint Studio. Only 350 of these pieces were produced and this is number one of the edition. It is from the personal collection of the late Mr. Bo Boyd, a Disney Legend inductee. An unusually large set up, the cel is handsomely framed with a Plexiglas front and the mat opening is an amazing 44" x 9.5". Frame dimensions are 55" x 20". The cel is on a matching print background. In Fine condition. From the Bo Boyd collection.
