DescriptionFantasia "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" Yen Sid Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). The Sorcerer's Apprentice is considered by many to be Mickey Mouse's greatest role, and here is his mentor Yen Sid (Disney backwards. In this lot is a phenomenal original animation drawing of the sorcerer himself who was animated by both Bill Tytla and Robert Carlson. This rare character measuring a whopping 9" x 8" is rendered in graphite on 12 field 5-peghole paper and numbered 67 in the lower right. With the character drawing is a matching set of two effects drawings of the highlight and shadow that appear on and behind his head. They are marked D67 and MD-67 respectively. It's an extraordinarily rare setup of animation drawings of this difficult to find character from this animated classic film. Minor handling overall. Condition is Very Good.
