DescriptionFantasia "The Nutcracker Suite" Mushroom Dance Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). Here is an amazing and large original layout drawing featuring the mushrooms of "The Nutcracker Suite" from the 1940 feature film Fantasia. Seen at the 17:01 mark of the film, the little characters are in the exact starting positions seen in at the beginning of their segment. One notable difference is that they are surrounded by flora instead of the dark space of the film, lit only by a single spotlight. This incredible drawing is rendered masterfully in graphite on a large sheet of 12" x 15.5" animation paper. The paper shows minor handling and edge wear with a horizontal fold near the top. The production note Sc. 14 is written in the top right corner, and the paper shows mild toning due to age. The condition overall is Good.
