Description

Fantasia Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice Effects Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). The "Sorcerer's Apprentice" segment of Fantasia was directed by James Algar, with animation supervision handled by Fred Moore and Bill Tytla. This is a rare 12 field effects drawing of Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice. Mickey falls asleep, dreaming of his body rising to the top of the mountain where he leads comets, clouds, and water in a stunning ballet, all through his hand movements due to his wearing of Yen Sid's hat. This effects drawing can be seen around the 4:23 mark in to the segment. The drawing is done for shadow effects in the scene. Graphite with blue highlights. Mickey is a nice 6" as he is moving the comets with his hands. This rare effects drawing is stamped 2004/7.0/33.1 with DX 146 in bottom right. Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
