    Description

Fantasia Mickey Mouse as The Sorcerer's Apprentice Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1940). In Mickey Mouse's greatest role, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" segment in Fantasia, he falls asleep on Yen Sid's throne and dreams of conducting the skies. When he wakes up to a flood, he runs upstairs, grabs an ax, and cuts up the water bucket-carrying broom. He thinks he has solved his problem, but little does he know that the brooms are multiplying by epic proportions, and carrying two buckets of water each! Here is a rare 12 field animation drawing of Mickey as the Sorcerer's Apprentice as he leans against the door. Two 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings from this scene are in one frame. The top one is of Mickey Mouse, wearing the sorcerer's hat. This is a large graphite image measuring 6". Drawing is stamped 2004/7.0/55.0 with D33 in bottom right corner. The bottom piece is the detailed drawing of the door. It has the exact same stamp numbers. It's in graphite with yellow pencil highlights. You can see this scene about 6:22 into the segment. A screen grab print of this image is included in the lot. Both 12 field drawings are in one Plexiglas-front frame measuring 18" x 28". The two mat openings are 12" x 10". Frame is sold as-is; artwork condition is Very Good.
