    Description

Fantasia Melinda and Brutus Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1940). Walt Disney's 1940s opus, Fantasia, reached artistic heights that few others films ever have. The film consisted of eight segments set to classical music conducted by Leopold Stokowski. In this lot we have two pieces from the "Pastoral Symphony" segment when the Cupids bring together Melinda and Brutus, the centaurette and centaur. This is an outstanding pair of original animation drawings of both Melinda and Brutus. A beautiful set of two, with nice large image sizes of 6" and 7". Rendered in graphite with color pencil highlights on 16 field animation paper. The Melinda drawing is numbered C-93 in the bottom right. The Brutus drawing is numbered 101 in the bottom right corner. Mild age-related toning, normal handling, edge wear with superficial wrinkles on the paper. Condition is Very Good.
