Fantasia Dinosaur Battle Layout Drawing Original Art (Walt Disney, 1940). Igor Stravinsky's music was used to accompany this Fantasia sequence that combined a lesson in historical geology and paleontology as well. This section showcased the birth of the Earth and takes us through to the end of the Age of the Reptiles. The highlight of this section is the battle of the Tyrannosaurus Rex with the Stegosaurus. Josh Meador did fantastic effects for this section. This is a brilliant and extremely rare 16 field layout drawing of this battle. Border notes read for Scene 44 Sequence 8-6. Stunning artwork, rendered in graphite with red, green, and blue pencil highlights. Rex is a menacing 11" while the Stegosaurus is 9". A copy of the actual matching screen grab of this scene is taped to the back of the frame. Fantasia artwork for this section, of this quality, is as rare as they come! The artwork is matted with an opening of 15" x 12", framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 23 x 19.5". Frame is sold as-is. Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
