Description
Fantasia Cupids Production Cel with Courvoisier Background (Walt Disney, 1940). A lovely image from one of the most-loved scene, the Pastoral Symphony sequence of Fantasia, featuring three little tree-dwelling cupids on a trimmed cel. The hand-painted Courvoisier background mimics the movie art nicely. There is some color flaking in each of the figures, most noticeably in the first cupid's blond hair, but also within the wrist of the middle cupid, and in the last figure's left hand. In overall Very Good condition, with an approximate image area for the cupids of 6.5" x 3.25", and the combined image area is 8.25" x 7.25". Matted to 15" x 13", with the original Courvoisier label on the back.Auction Info
