Description

Fantasia Cupids Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940).
An original 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing of a pair of cupids, from the Pastoral Symphony sequence in Fantasia. Beethoven's lush symphonic soundtrack formed the backdrop for an amazing parade of cupids, centaurs and centaurettes, fauns and other mythological figures, all gathered for a festival honoring Bacchus, the god of wine -- pretty heady stuff for a 1940 Disney cartoon! The art is in graphite with light hints of red and blue; image sizes are about 4" each. The number 17 is written in the lower right corner, while a studio production stamp is in the lower left. Very Good condition with minor creases and handling wear.
