    Description

Fantasia Chernabog Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). Impressive original 16 field animation drawing of the Chernabog from the "Night on Bald Mountain" sequence. This character was brought to life by Bill Tytla (1904 - 1968). Tytla is particularly noted for the animation of the seven dwarfs in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Stromboli in Pinocchio, Yen Sid in "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" and Chernabog in "A Night on Bald Mountain/Ave Maria" from Fantasia and the "baby Dumbo" character in Dumbo. It's an amazing image, done in graphite with red and blue highlights. The image takes up almost the entire sheet with dimension of approximately 10" x 14". The drawing is noted as number 27 in the lower right. One of Disney's most terrifying (and popular) villains! Normal production handling with edge wear, mild superficial wrinkling, and age-related toning. Very Good condition.
