Fantasia Chernabog Animation Drawing Group (Walt Disney, 1940).
Fantasia was first released in theatrical roadshow engagements held in thirteen U.S. cities beginning on 11/13/40. Bill Tytla was the supervising animator on this dramatic Sequence in the Fantasia segment, "Night on Bald Mountain" featuring the fearsome Chernabog. Here is a superb 16-field, 5-peghole animation drawing in graphite with red and blue pencil. Chernabog measures almost a full 10" x 10". The film gained a huge cult following since its first release, and is notably important to the film industry as a milestone in the creation of the modern "music video." Mild age-related toning, superficial wrinkles in the paper, normal handling, and edge wear. Very Good condition.
