Fantasia 2000 "Piano Concerto #2" Tin Soldier and Toy Ballerina Presentation Cel and Master Production Background Setup (Walt Disney, 2000). This hand-painted presentation cel is a one-of-one original piece of art. With no actual hand-painted production cels used in the creation of this sequel to the much beloved Fantasia, this cel is a double-special treat! It is also placed on a hand-painted Master production background. They are from the "Piano Concerto #2" segment that adapts the story of the "Steadfast Tin Soldier" by Hans Christian Anderson. This segment of the film, introduced by Bette Midler, is where the Ballerina accepts a rose from the broken Tin Soldier. It's a beautiful image of the 6.5" and 4.5" tall characters. There is a Disney seal in the lower right and a Disney COA on the backside. This was Lot #176 in the Sotheby's sale of 6/29/2000. It is Plexiglas front framed to 21" x 17.5" and in Fine condition.
