Description

Falling Hare Bugs Bunny Publicity Cel (Warner Brothers, 1943/46). Written by Warren Foster and directed by Bob Clampett, this short offered Looney Tunes' take on the notorious gremlins that allegedly plagued American aircraft in World War II. This is an outstanding hand-painted publicity cel of Bugs Bunny reading Victory Through Hare Power, a parody of Alexander P. de Seversky's book Victory Thru Air Power (made into a Disney animated feature in 1943). Falling Hare was released on 10/30/43, and this image can be seen around the 1:15 mark. This cel was used for some type of book or publicity piece, since the spine of the book reads "By Bugs Bunny/April 1946", not too long after WWII had ended. This is one of the best pure Bugs cels we have come across. The image is an amazing 8" x 8". Matted and framed to 17.5" x 15" and in Fine condition.
