Description
Fall In Fall Out Donald Duck Production Cel
Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1943). Private Donald is ready
for mess after hiking many, many miles... until his hastily pitched
tent starts to come apart, in this fantastic original hand-inked,
hand-painted production cel. Fall In Fall Out was the fourth
in the series of World War II Donald Duck in the Army cartoons; it
was directed by Jack King and released to theaters on 4/23/43. We
love Donald's wild surprised expression! You can find the cartoon
online; this scene appears around the 3:57 mark. This is a rare
Courvoisier setup (only the second from this cartoon we've
offered), with a trimmed-to-image cel mounted on an airbrushed wood
veneer background, and a protective acetate overlay. The overall
image area measures approximately 6" x 5". The setup is matted with
an opening of 8" x 8", and mat size of 14" x 14". The nitrate cel
has a bit of waviness in spots, with a tiny crack in Donald's
outstretched leg, and there is a bit of glue staining here and
there around the cel, but the general appearance is Very Good.
