Description

Duck Amuck Daffy Duck Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1953). "Under a spreading chestnut tree..." spouts a dazed Daffy Duck after a torturous time at the hands of an unseen mischievous animator, in this rare original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel. Duck Amuck is regarded as one of Chuck Jones' Merrie Melodies masterpieces, a cartoon so funny it has been chosen by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry. Here, the anvil Daffy has been hitting with a big hammer is about to become a live artillery shell and... well, you know what happens next (if not, you have some serious cartoon watching ahead of you). The short is online; this scene occurs at the 6:20 mark. The full image size of Daffy Duck and his hammer measures approximately 3" x 5.75". A Warner Brothers Cartoons Inc. copyright notice has been attached to the cel in the lower right. The background is a print, added for presentation purposes. The cel is matted with an opening of 11" x 8.75", it's been framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 15.75" x 13.5". Frame is sold as-is.
