This is a limited edition, hand-painted cast resin sculpture taken from Theodor Seuss Geisel's original 1934 sculpture entitled "Kangaroo Bird". This work is the eighth release in the Dr. Seuss collection of Unorthodox Taxidermy which was based on a small collection of sculpture's created in the 1930s. This hand-painted cast resin sculpture measures 22.5" x 9.5" x 17.5" and is mounted to a wood plaque. The adorable depiction of a mother Kangaroo Bird with baby in her pouch is hand-numbered #170/850. The multidimensional masterworks serve as a prime example of the limitless creativity of one of the world's most iconic artists and authors. Minor handling and some scratches on the wall-facing side of the wood plaque. Condition is Very Good.
