Dr. Seuss "I Dreamed I Was a Doorman at the Hotel Coronado" Limited Edition Serigraph Patron's Collection #LXXVII/XCIX 77/99 (2003). This original hand-pulled Fine Art Serigraph was created from a Dr. Seuss (Ted Geisel) 1970 original acrylic painting on canvas. It was released as part of the "Secret Art of Dr. Seuss" Fine Art Collection. Dr. Seuss could see this hotel from his studio, which was located in La Jolla, California. This legendary hotel was opened in 1888 and has hosted over eleven Presidents. This is a long sold-out edition. It had 375 pieces in the regular edition, but this is a rare Patron's Collection Edition which is only 99 pieces. It is a hand-pulled serigraph printed on archival panel. This edition is numbered in Roman Numerals as #LXXVII/XCIX (77/99). The artwork is an enormous piece measuring 47" x 24". It comes with its Publishers Certificate of Authenticity. Tiny ding in top left corner, otherwise Very Good condition. A highly desirable, hard-to-find piece!
