Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas Storyboard Original Art (MGM, 1966). This landmark television special was co-produced by Chuck Jones and Ted Geisel (Dr. Seuss) and designed by Maurice Noble. It is a very rare original storyboard drawing of the Grinch in his Santa outfit, presumably from the scene where his eyes turned blue as he looks at the sled loaded with presents about to go over the a cliff. A similar image can be seen around the 22:41 mark. Rendered in graphite and marker on MGM storyboard paper measuring 6.5" x 5.5", it bears an MGM logo in right bottom corner. "MGM Animation/Visual Arts" is printed along the bottom border and #109 is written in the top right corner. The bottom panel is hand-signed by Mr. Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002). This 5" tall image of the Grinch is from the early developmental stages in the making of this holiday classic. Condition is Very Good.
