DescriptionDr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas Max Signed Production Cel (MGM, 1966).
"You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch!" Poor lovable Max is on the receiving end of one of the Grinch's Christmas Eve hauls and you can see this exact moment around the 14:25 mark. This classic holiday TV special directed by Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002) has aired every year since its 1966 debut. The hilarious hand-painted image of Dr. Seuss' beloved holiday character measures a whopping 8" x 3" on a 12 field production cel. It is signed by Chuck Jones and bears a Linda Jones seal in the lower left corner. The production cel is presented over a print of the corresponding background. Max clearly stole the show in this cartoon and any Grinch collection without him would certainly be considered incomplete. The cel shows minor handling and condition is Fine.
