    Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas Max Production Cel (MGM, 1966). "He brought everything back, all the food for the feast. And he, he himself, the Grinch -- carved the roast beast." This is an outstanding, hand-painted, 12 field, production cel of Max, in his reindeer antlers, sitting at the end of the Who table feast, in the film's finale. He has just been handed a slice of the roast beast by little Cindy Lou Who; it was sliced by the Grinch himself, who sits at the head of the Who table. This is one of the best pure Max cels we have encountered. It can be seen around the 24:26 mark into the TV special. Great full-figure image of a happy Max, measuring 8". A Linda Jones seal is on the cel, which has been hand-signed by the film's director, animation legend Chuck Jones. Cel is matted in a Plexiglas-front frame measuring 19" x 17" with a mat opening of 11" x 9.5". Frame has some minor scuffing and corner damage, and is sold as-is. Cel is in Very Good condition with very minor handling wear.
