    Description

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas Grinch Production Cel (MGM, 1966). A classic, 12-field, hand-painted production cel of a 4" full-figure Grinch, running. The cel has a Linda Jones seal and an original Letter of Authenticity. The cel is hand-signed by the Director, the late Chuck Jones. A "10" is written on the bottom right corner of the cel. The Grinch's eyes are red here, but did you know that his eyes turn blue when he saves the toys at the end of the film? A piece of modern Christmas history! In Fine condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
