Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas Grinch and Max Production Cel Signed by Chuck Jones and Key Master Pan Background (MGM, 1966). "And what happened then? Well, in Whoville they say that the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes that day! And then the true meaning of Christmas came through, and the Grinch found the strength of ten Grinches, plus two! And now that his heart didn't feel quite so tight, he whizzed with his load through the bright morning light." The now blue-eyed Grinch, no longer with a heart two sizes too small, blasts his horn to let all of Whoville know that he's forever changed his evil ways, and is bringing back everything he took. Don't you just love a happy ending? And don't you love this magnificent setup, featuring a hand-inked, hand-painted 12 field multi-cel image of Grinch and a now-delighted Max, as their overloaded sleigh slides down the mountain into Whoville. Wow! While we have offered a similar cel setup a few years back, this amazing Key Master pan background takes the cake as one of the best from this beloved Dr. Seuss television special we have seen to date, and having this hand-signed by Animation Legend Chuck Jones is the cherry on top! Veteran background artist Phillip DeGuard, along with Hal Ashmead and Bob Inman created these colorful vistas. The combined cel image for this setup measures approximately 8.5" x 5". The setup is matted with an opening of 28.5" x 9", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 35" x 15.75". The frame is sold as-is. A Linda Jones seal is on the top cel, and her Letter of Authenticity is included on back of the frame. Very Good condition with minor handling wear. If you love this special like we know you do, this is one item not to be missed!
