Donald's Cousin Gus Donald Duck Animation Drawing Sequence of 2 (Walt Disney, 1939). Donald extends his hand to greet his always-hungry house guest Gus Goose (with an introductory note in Donald's hand that reads, "He don't eat much"), in this group of two original 12 field animation drawings. Jack King directed the short, based on a story by Jack Hannah and Carl Barks; it was originally released to theaters on 5/19/1939. This drawing sequence begins at about the 1:58 mark in online viewings. The first drawing is noted as A10 in the lower right corner and includes extra peghole punches; image is in graphite with a green pencil shadow outline and red pencil notations, for an approximate image size of 5.25" x 4". The second drawing has A137 in the lower right, and is in graphite with orange and green pencils and red pencil notations; image size is 4" x 4". Condition is Good to Very Good with torn pegholes in one drawing, and minor handling/edge wear.
