Donald Duck World War II Insignia Painting Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1940s). Donald Duck was by far the most frequent Disney draftee for military service on insignia art. He made at least 216 appearances. This is a working prototype for one of those, a gouache on board painting measuring 9" x 10". Great image of Donald Duck with an American Eagle holding onto a bomb, with an overall image size of 7". This piece is shown in the World War II Insignias book Characters of Military on page 61. It was sold at a 1990s Howard Lowery Auction initially. One of the single most striking and patriotic images of Donald we have seen come from Hank Porter's Insignia Art group. Minor handling and edge wear. The overall condition is Very Good
