Don Donald Donald Duck Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1937). Donald serenades his Mexican girlfriend Donna in this short, one of Donald Duck's very first solo starring roles. The short was directed by Ben Sharpsteen, and released to theaters on 1/9/37. Here's an original hand-inked, hand-painted Courvoisier cel of BOTH Donald Duck and Donna. It can be seen around the 1:16 mark when she descends her balcony via cactus steps and walks onto Donald's sombrero as he courts her. The cel is on a Courvoisier hand-painted background, and is matted with an opening size of 9" x 8" and framed with Plexiglas for an overall frame size of 17" x 16". Nice full-figure image sizes of 4". The setup has been reframed but still includes the original Courvoisier paperwork on the back of the frame. Frame is sold as-is. Slight paint separation in Donald's feet and slight curling. Very Good condition.
