Description

Doctor Seuss's How The Grinch Stole Christmas Grinch and Max Production Cel (MGM, 1966). "He hadn't stopped Christmas from coming... IT CAME! Somehow or other... it came... just the Same!" A dramatic hand-painted production cel of The Grinch and Max saving the Whoville Who's presents during a key scene in the feature. This cel has it all... The Grinch in his Santa outfit, Max with his antlers on, and a great pink snow effect. This is a very rare blue-eye Grinch! Please note that the Grinch has red eyes in this whole film, until he saves the toys. As he runs up the hill to save the sled and presents his eyes turn blue, signifying his change of heart. This magnificent cel is hand-signed by the film's director, animation legend, Mr. Chuck Jones (1912-2002). There is a Linda Jones seal also on the cel. Nice images of 3" and 6". Matted with an aperture of 12" x 10", then Plexiglas front framed to 19.5" x 17.5". In Fine condition.
